The English Language Arts Program at C.C.B. School is shaped by the conviction that language is the essential means of gaining self-knowledge and for participating in community.

Therefore, English Language Arts Program for each group level is focused on the accumulation of reading and writing skills. First we introduce the student to the joys of reading and writing.

Then we invites the student to refine the skills inherent to each activity to enhance the ability to develop their own voice and to enrich their appreciation of other voices.

The emphasis may vary from course to course, but the goals of instruction are constant: the development of skills of expression, listening and understanding.

The courses in group level sequence are differentiated primarily by the increasing complexity and sophistication of the writings the students compose and the works they read.

At every level, students are likely to write in various forms and to read works representing diverse voices and experiences.
