Test time
Testing normally begins at 9:00 AM for all test dates.
Check your Admission Ticket for exact time.
Total testing time is 2 hours and 35 minutes,
plus two short breaks.
Test dismissal is normally between 12:00 -12:30 pm. |
Restration Deadlines
|
Regular SSAT registration closes three weeks before each nationally scheduled test date. Registrations must be postmarked, faxed or submitted online by that date. If you miss the regular deadline, you have two options:
Late Registration (online only)
 Closes two weeks before the test date.
Online registration only, with payment by credit card.*
Additional $25 late fee.
Standby Registration (online only)
Closes online at 8:00 a.m. on the test date.
Limited seating and locations, testing is not guaranteed.
Online registration only, with payment by credit card.*

Fee Waivers
|
If economic hardship makes you unable to pay the test fee, you may be eligible to receive a SSAT Fee Waiver. A limited number of fee waivers
are available from SSAT member schools.
 To apply for a fee waiver
Contact the Admission Office at a school to which you are applying
at least four weeks before your chosen test date. Fee Waivers are not
available through the SSAT office.
Using a fee waiver
A fee waiver covers a $100 national test fee only. It does not include
and may not be applied toward:
late fee ($25)
standby fee ($55)
test change fee ($30)
publication fees ($22)
international test centers
You must obtain your fee waiver before registering. If you mail your
registration, please enclose the original Fee Waiver coupon.
Students who register for late or standby registration online must pay
any additional fees by credit card at the time of registration. |
Refund Policy
|
SSAT does not offer refunds for cancelled tests or related fees.
If you cannot test on your registered date, you may reschedule
to a different test date.
